I really like this song and give it a 4 out of 5 stars.Īnother slow song, All the Way Home is a pretty song. To me this is the best song on the album. She has good range and proves that she is talented. Also, this song proves that she can hold her own and has a beautiful voice. The song does give the tone for what most of the album sounds like which is a slower and mature feel. Love and War (besides the name of this album) is Tamar’s first single in about 13 years and it holds up pretty well. I like the feel and the maturity of this song. The song is about staying and fighting for a relationship that is falling apart. This song is a dramatic ballad that actually reminds me a little bit of her sister Toni’s style. I would give this song 3.5 out of 5 stars.
I like this song and the beat gives it a dancing kind of feel I could picture some professional dancers having a lot of fun with this song. It’s about having a secret affair and how the lover needs to “tip-toe” out of house so the secret won’t be out the public.
This is probably the only song on the album that I found to be fun song.
Besides that, I do like this song and I’d give it a 2.7 out of 5 stars. I don’t mind samples at all but when you use a song that is as popular as Juicy Fruit it makes me only think of the original song and not this remake/sample version. To be honest, when I first heard this song I thought “why did she have to use a sample for this single?” Yes, she uses the “Juicy Fruit” sample from Biggy and I wish she hadn’t. *This album is on Spotify where you can listen to it for free.
